Protecto Locks and Master Locks

A master lock has been designed (keyed) to work with one certain key; of course there can be copies of that key and there usually are.

A protecto lock however, is different – it’s internal mechanism is designed in such a way that it will work with any key that can be inserted into the lock until the Protecto key is inserted. When the Protecto key is inserted, the Protecto Lock will then adjusts itself to accept only the Protecto Key or an exact copy of that key.
